About Us -
Badass Revolution is about bringing the term badass into positive light and ditching the negative association with the word. We want to encourage people to exemplify the traits of a true badass and reach their potential. By offering products that are the best in their class, we help people by donating a percentage of profits to a nominated Badass's purpose or cause. Which brings us to our tagline: Products, Purpose, and Potential.
What is a Badass?
A good question, and the answer has changed over the decades.  In the past a bad ass was synonymous with large muscles, tattoos (especially skulls and flames) and someone who was basically a bully.  Someone who compelled respect through fear and demanded their way BE the only way.  You all know what I'm talking about, someone who would be more likely to beat his wife than listen to her.  I prefer the new, modern, and quite frankly, better definition of a badass.  First of all, it is now one word, I know not really important, but it should be mentioned.  More notable, is the contemporary meaning behind todays badass.  A modern day badass lives by numerous principles, and we've identified 9 of them.  How, you may wonder, can one person possibly embody all of them? I assure you amazed reader, they are out there, male and female, and they are living examples of true badassery.
What a Badass IS
Confident - A badass is confident, not conceited. Compliments are not necessary when working with a badass, they do not need others approval to get the job done or to feel accomplished.  They know they're pretty awesome, yet do not feel the need to make others feel less around them.  Also, see picture below...

Humble -  This goes right along with being confident.  A badass recognizes that however hard they've worked they almost always did not reach their goal without help from someone.  And, all of their efforts could be washed away  tomorrow.

Integrity - Honesty is the hallmark of a badass.  Their actions are the same whether illuminated on the stage of life, or alone behind doors.  They have integrity, therefore they have nothing to hide.

Hard Work - You will not find a person that works harder than a badass.  They are not afraid to get in the trenches and do what needs doing.

Grit - "Never give up" is a mantra repeated by most badasses and however they acquired such determination does not matter. What matters to them is the achievement. Anyone can work hard but the tenacity of a badass in conjunction with their hard work is what sets them apart.

Moral Code - Just do the RIGHT thing.  Having morals is not just a set of rules to govern your actions, it is a compass that if followed will not let them down.

Respect - A badass commands respect, but also gives it in return.  There is no social, monetary, or cultural standard they require in others to see their humanity.

Speaks Up - A badass will speak up for their beliefs. They speak up if they see a wrong, and a badass will speak up for those less fortunate, but they don't just talk a good talk.  A badass will also act on those beliefs and endeavor to help right the wrongs.

Acts - Last, a badass ACTS.  They dream a dream, and then ACT.  They see an injustice and then ACT.  The action is what has gotten them to where they are and is what will propel them even higher.
What a Badass ISN'T
Muscle-bound - A badass can absolutely be decked to the nines, however,  a gym membership is not a prerequisite, nor is a six-pack.

A Bully - This distinction can be thrown out with the trash, in NO way is a bully a badass.

A Man - Male genitalia is not a requirement to be a badass.  Men and Women alike can be given the title.

A Harley Loving, Tattoo Smothered, Almost Criminal, Bar Fighter - Can a badass love Harleys and decorate their flesh with ink, 100% YES, and you may know a few.  A badass is about a persons words and actions not their appearance.  However, the other two, almost criminal and bar fighter are a definite No.
One final thought - The coveted title of badass can only be given. One cannot, under any circumstances, bestow the crown of badassery upon their own head.  It is earned through blood, sweat, tears, hard work, actions and can only be purchased with what we like to call "grit currency".  The honor is then awarded to the badass by the admiration of those who recognize the traits and behavior of a true badass.

A badass is confident enough to be an island, strong and immovable by the tides of popular opinion and group thought. "Self-praise is for losers. Be a winner(badass). Stand for something. Always have class, and be humble." John Madden

Psychology Today published an article that you can find here about what it means to be a badass.  Take a look if you are so inclined
